The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is hosting "Arctic Twilight", an exhibition of pastel paintings by Jean Malaurie, from 15 December 2022 to 24 January 2023.

This unique exhibition brings together many of Jean Malaurie's pastel paintings, including some of his most recent works. These paintings are an artistic testimony to Malaurie's many missions in the Arctic. They also highlight the beauty and power of the natural elements in the Northern regions.

The exhibition is organised by the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco in conjunction with the Malaurie Institute of Arctic Research – Monaco-UVSQ (MIARC) and the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ), founding and associate member of the University of Paris-Saclay.

The exhibition poster depicts the magnificent Thule mountain in Greenland, a place well documented by Jean Malaurie in his works and perhaps the most defining in Malaurie's career.
