The French-German Research School PACCSS "Perceiving Arctic Change - Climate, Society, Sustainability" met up on 13 December 2022 in Berlin. The aim of this inititative is to gather researchers from various disciplines in order to foster a multidisciplinary approach to Arctic research.
The research seminar was organised by the German Polar Institute Alfred-Wegener (AWI) and UVSQ. The main speakers were:
- Prof. Rasmus Bertelsen (Nansen Professor, University of Akureyri / UiT The Arctic University of Norway) : "Arctic Order in World Order"
- Gunn-Britt Retter (Head of Arctic and Environmental Unit in the Saami Council, Norway): "The Sami Council: 70 Years of Raising the Voice of Sami People"
- Stephan Dudeck (Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies, Potsdam, Germany): "The Co-Create Network"
Presentations were followed by enriching discussions between researchers issued from varied disciplines: anthropology, geophysics, geopolitics, history, litterature, etc. Members of the Malaurie Institute of Arctic Research participated in the event: Jan Borm, Joanna Kodzik, Alexandre Delangle and Marie Sikias.
