MIARC actively cooperates notably with:
- the University of the Arctic (UARCTIC) in particular within the framework of the UARCTIC Chair in Arctic Humanities held by Professor Borm for a five-year term (2022-2027).
- the German Polar Institute Alfred Wegener (AWI) with who Professor Borm has been organizing the "Gateway to the Arctic" annual workshops for early stage researchers, funded by the Franco-German University in Saarbrucken since 2011.
- the University of Lapland at Rovaniemi (ULAP), Finland.
- the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), Canada.
- the University of Greenland.
- the University of Iceland.
- the University of the Faroe Islands.
