MIARC is delighted to announce the release of Eda Ayaydin’s book Uluslararasi Iliskilerde Arktik (The Arctic in International Relations). Eda Ayaydin (MIARC) is a fellow member of the International Arctic Science Committee for 2023-2026.
This collective work is the result of the collaboration between Turkish scholars and their counterparts from the Arctic region. The book explores the role of the Arctic in international relations. Its objective is to provide readers in Turkey with a comprehensive perspective on the region, covering key aspects from the historical exploration of the Arctic to contemporary regional geopolitics, while adopting a critical approach that challenges prevailing Arctic clichés.
The book launch took place in Istanbul on 9th November 2023, ahead of its official release in December.
