The Malaurie Institute of Arctic Research Monaco-UVSQ (MIARC) has commissioned the French National Library to scan all previous issues of Inter-Nord.

Inter-Nord is the only French Arctic review that is both international and interdisciplinary. It was founded by Professor Jean Malaurie in 1960 at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS). The French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) was later involved in the publication of the review. In 2021, Jean Malaurie appointed Jan Borm as new Chief Editor of Inter-Nord, which is now published online by MIARC.

In a bid to make the review accessible to the greatest number, MIARC has commissioned the French National Library to scan all previous issues of Inter-Nord as those were only available in paper version. This was done in agreement with previous publishers.

All issues have now been digitalised and are available on Inter-Nord's dedicated webpage. The 22 issues published to date contain articles by more than 300 authors and make up a polar encyclopedia of over 6500 pages. Inter-Nord accepts scientific articles, as well as pieces of creative writing, interviews, book reviews and other writings about the Arctic.

Call for papers for the next issue.
