Prof. Chartier, head of the Laboratory "Imaginaire/Nord" at UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal), will give a lecture on "Literature and decolonial perspectives on the Arctic". 

The conference is aimed at UVSQ students enrolled in Master 2 Arctic Studies. It will take place at UVSQ on Tuesday October 17th, 13:00-15:00. 

Daniel Chartier is full professor at UQAM, and director of the International Laboratory for Research on Images of the North, Winter and the Arctic. In recent years, he has published and directed some forty books and a hundred articles on the representation of the North, the Arctic and Winter, Québec, Inuit, First Nations and Nordic cultures. Its work has led to more than 500 public interventions. Prof. Chartier is also involved with Prof. Borm from MIARC in a tripartite project gathering UVSQ, UQAM and Universidad del Salvador: "Québec-Argentine-France: Territorialité, ressources, autochtonie : droits et représentations culturelles". "Québec-Argentine-France: Territorialité, ressources, autochtonie : droits et représentations culturelles".
