Prof. Jan Borm, Director of MIARC and UARCTIC Chair in Arctic Humanities, is one of the invited participants of the 4th AASCO workshop held at the Oceanographic Institute/Prince Albert I Foundation in Monaco, February 4-5, 2025.
The workshop which was opened by HSH Prince Albert of Monaco on February 4, is organized by the University of Helsinki and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation in cooperation with the University of the Arctic.
The workshop is dedicated to the analysis of research gaps in existing Science Co-Operation and the fostering of new science cooperation in the view of the 5th International Polar Year 2032-33 currently under preparation. This landmark event brings together leading researchers and experts from diverse disciplines engaged in Arctic studies and observations. The goal? To foster collaboration, strengthen connections, and drive coordinated, impactful efforts to tackle the pressing environmental challenges in the Arctic.
