India-Wiborada Piwko is currently studying Scandinavian Studies and Art History at the University of Greifswald in Germany where she has acquired very solid language skills in Danish and Norwegian.

She spent a year at the University of Greenland / Ilisimatusarfik in Nuuk from September 2023 to June 2024. There she engaged in cultural studies and gained insights into the culture, history and current issues of Greenland and the Arctic, as well as intensive source studies. During her time in Greenland, she worked for a year at the Art Museum in Nuuk and encountered Greenlandic artists, helping to set up and dismantle exhibitions. She is interested in the culture and art history of Greenland.

During numerous internships in museums (Völkerkundemuseum Herrnhut, Lübecker Museen- Sammlung Kulturen der Welt, Grassi Museum für Völkerkunde zu Leipzig) she dealt with various collections of Arctic objects, as well as with the work of missionary associations.

She worked as a student assistant at the University in Greifswald in the fields of Scandinavian studies and Art History and assisted in several projects (“Herrenhauszentum des Ostseeraums”, “Wikingergold. Schatzpolitik seit 1800”).

She has been working as an intern at MIARC and Arctic Portal for 2 months since March 2025.
